This is our film banner, I think that it is good because it is relevant to our movie genre because it is black which relates to the darkness of the fallout and also it has buildings and our movie is set in a city.

This font is one of ideas which we may use because the chunks which have been taken out of the bottom add to the feeling of danger because to is like the font is falling apart much like the world will after the explosion because of these connotations I feel this font will be a good choice for the title of our film The Fallout.

Cutting yourself on the brambles and thorns while walking towards the camera	3	Wear long trousers and long sleeve shirts I order to reduce the risk of lacerations. Take care whole walking to ensure you don’t trip up and therefore fall over cutting yourself further.

Production Diary

Week 1 :

3/11/2014 - In this meeting we got in got into our groups in order to discuss and hand out roles which people will be doing in order to get the ball rolling on the production. 

4/11/2014 - In this meeting we began the story board process by researching different films which have the same themes which we intend to incorporate into our film.  

 6/11/2014 - In this meeting we began to create our mood board and our film pitch, we created our film pitch to show the class our idea and to help us gain ideas for our target audience. 

7/11/2014 - In this meting we evaluated our film pitch in order to determine our target audience. From this evaluation we found that our class liked the idea of apocalypse and the nuclear bomb disaster. 

10/11/2014 - In this meeting we came to finish our mood-board this gave us some costume ideas and location ideas which we began to look for on google maps. We did this to find some areas which looked suitable for our film. 

11/11/2014 - We found out that we had the use of a remote control car in this meeting because of this we have adjusted out storyboard because after viewing the footage we could capture we felt it would add a good tracking shot because it is very steady. 

12/11/2014 - In this meeting we decided to get some recce shots of our locations in order to figure out where we wanted to film and if we are able to film in the locations we want to.  

13/11/2014 - In this meeting we began our titles research in order to see what fonts we want to put into our titles to give them the correct feel. We are making a list and then we are going to ask our group which one we feel will fit best in meaning we will get the best results.  

14/11/2014 - In this lesson we organised our lap charts which would help us become more organised and ensure we know what we are suppose to be doing to ensure we get all the paperwork done and finished before we go out to film. I said i would do the Synopsis plan of our film and thew risk assessments. 

17/11/2014 -In this meeting we voiced over the story board to upload onto my blog and to everyone else blog. 

18/11/2014 - For this meeting we decided on our shooting locations we will mainly be filming in Ongar in Essex. We have access to a large barn in which we can film. 

20/11/2014 - We sent Lee to take some recce shots of the location because t is close to his house and will give us ideas of what shots we can film. We decided that we would need a clear dry day in order to give our film the correct feel. 

21/11/2014 - This meeting involved us checking through our work which we could then make changes if they are required to improve our own work. 

24/11/2014 - In this session I started to complete the risk assessment so we could begin filming our production. Without the risk assessment we cannot film because it could be unsafe. 

25/11/2014 - We started to complete the shooting schedule in this meeting knowing exactly what shots we need to film on our shooting days. 

26/11/2014 - I began to finish the risk assessment for our production so we can upload it onto our blogs, after this we can film our production. 

27/11/2014 - Our shooting schedule was finished in this session so we could begin to shoot, we are going to begin our shooting this weekend and are hoping to edit next week to get it finally finished.  

28/11/2014 - We began shooting during this meeting to bring all of our footage together and then begin editing on premiar to bring our whole film together allowing us to meet our deadline. we have been shooting in the location pictured below because it looks like the aftermath of a nuclear explosion with no life present.

Title Fonts

These fonts will help us decide which one we will use for our titles because we need to choose one which gives the feeling of danger so for example we couldn't use Futura because it looks normal and something you use all the time whilst typing because of these connotations with everyday life this font would not be suitable and we should opt for something that looks more like Impact. The impact font is one which is rarely used during everyday life and because of this it is more suitable for our film because it will less widely rrecognizedand therefore give the impression of danger and the unknown with things associated with destruction like the one in which we hope to create in our film Fallout.

Moodboard

This is our mood board which shows some of the ideas and themes we want to replicate because these are successful films and if we can replicate some of the things they have done then our film will be very good. We have lots of photos of mushroom clouds because we want to be able to show what happens to cause all of the danger and because of this we want to find a short amount of footage to show the explosion which will then establish the setting and the explosion which has led to all of this death and danger.

We have a lot of photos of barren wasteland read with long grass we feel that these kind of locations are going to be effective in our film because we want to create the feeling of emptiness and we feel these locations are the best way to replicate this feeling.

We have included the titles from zombieland because we feel these are very good titles and we want to try and replicate these in the best possible way we can. We are also going to use the titles from zombieland to ensure we have them all in the right order to enable us to access the highest marks possible and because of this there will be no errors because we will replicate them and change their names to ours.   

We also have some costume ideas in our mood board because if we have a character we want them to look correct and not just like a normal person going about everyday life and because of this we have found these images of people from similar films to ours. We have looked at their clothing closely to ensure our character looks right.

We were given the task of creating a logo for our for film productions. I wanted to keep it basic and

memorable. I drew inspiration from other production companies logos.

I used Adobe Photoshop to create the logo and i thought that i would contrast light colour with dark.

This was our remake o the beggining scene of "Juno" weshot all of the shots by firstly creating a story board so we knew what camera angles and also what we have to do in the scenes, and i then put the shots onto the computer via the camera and then i edited the shots t=so that they fit together lie the actual video.

Denlnotation-What we see when we look at the video

1) I see in the video a news report that instantly gives the film a realistic aspect and then it shows the soldiers getting ready to go at war against something that is not shown to us.

2) We are then faced with a city that has been bombed and is destroyed with ruins of skyscrapers and fire and smoke with many helicopters flying over which are holding the soldiers.

Connotation-What we understand from this video

1)  I understand that the soldiers are at war and also that something is attacking the city by destroying it.

2) I also understand that the civilians are running away from the explosions that are firstly referred to us as meteors.

Film Pitch Slideshow

This was our movie pitch to the class to present our movie which was the genre of a family drama. In this presentation it explains which actors we will be hiring to play the roles inside the film. It also explains what is our target audience for our film and also a brief explanation of our plot and storyline and also we have included information on how we are going to market our movie to our specific target audience to be the most effective at people finding out about the movie so that they go and watch it.

Crime/Action

In this Photo the setting is unknown because all you can see is a grey background so this could be virtually anwhere this adds a sense of mystery as we do not know where the person is. The theme for this photo is based on a crime and also it makes the person looking at the photo question what is inside the breifcase. The icons inside this photo is the hand and also the lock combination, the hand has got a tight grip on the breifcase showing that the person trying to get in as they are desperate to find out what is inside it. The lock combination is the colour gold which could mean that the thing inside it is worth a lot of money.







Horror



In this photo the setting is an abandoned school playground with a single teddy bear resting against a bench, the theme of the picture is black and white which shows everything is basic and normal, however the teddy is red which implies evil and also directs your attention towards the teddy. The icon in the image is the teddy, the teddy links towards a child which is associated with fun, life and youth however the teddy is on its own maybe left abandoned which then makes the viewer ask why and also where is the owner and also why is there nobody around.

Denonotation- What we see when we look at an image.

1) 4 normal people holding unusual weapons.

2) A theme park in the background.

3) They are wearing casual clothes.

4) The colour red in the Title tells us that there is evil in the film.

5) The fire and explosions in the background show us that the film is chaotic.

6) The smallest girls posture shows that she has attitude.

7) The blood on the chainsaw shows that they have been in combat a lot and it is gruesome.

 

Connotation- What we understand from this image.

1) That they need weapoms to fight.

2) Its based or they go to a theme park.

3) The Men use guns and the Women use Melee weapons.

4) They are a group of normal people.

5) The black sky shows that something catostrophic has happened and the red title is in the middle of it that shows that is the thing that has happened and it says "Zombieland".

6) The rides in the background shows that the film could be a rollercoaser.

 

 

Zombieland Introduction

Denotation- What we see when we look at a video.

 1) At the start of the video we firstly see America looking like a ghost town.

2) We see what America now looks like and how it has changed.

3)It makes us think that it is a comedy because some of the opening scenes are funny and also all of the chaos and deaths at the start make us think what can be worst.

Connotation- What we understand from this video.

1) There is narrative over the video which explains what has happened to America and also goes through all of the steps you need to survive in "Zombieland" and it shows the things that you shouldn't do and it shows examples while telling you so that you know

not to do them.

2) We understand that the deaths are very gruesome because of the amount of blood and guts and also how the people die.
